### Preparing a room for replacement equipment

In Rize, the existing Elekta LINAC was removed, and the bunker infrastructure and TPS room were renovated for a Varian TrueBeam. The delivered scope was the room and technical areas ready for installation.

RF Teknik Medikal provides technical services for radiotherapy linear accelerator installation and site coordination. A linear accelerator installation has to bring the equipment, treatment room, site team and acceptance process together. The exact work is defined against the device model, site condition and agreed responsibilities.

What should be ready before a LINAC arrives?

The room, access route, utilities and installation schedule need a joint review. We confirm the interfaces and outstanding site work before equipment movement is planned.

What is included in the installation scope?

A project scope can cover delivery coordination, positioning, mechanical assembly, system connections and support for commissioning. The quotation should name each included task and the party responsible for it.

### Delivery and responsibilities

Who handles commissioning and acceptance?

Commissioning, acceptance and clinical release are distinct stages. Responsibilities depend on the equipment, manufacturer requirements and local clinical and regulatory arrangements; they must be agreed in the project plan.

Which handover documents and responsibilities should the installation scope define?

Include records of completed work, applicable plans and revisions, connection checks, outstanding work and the agreed test records. Completion of mechanical installation is separate from approval for clinical use; commissioning, acceptance, medical physics assessment and clinical release need separately assigned responsibilities.
