RF Teknik Medikal completed removal of a Cobalt-60 unit and preparation of the treatment room for an Elekta Versa HD linear accelerator at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Hospital. The project included room infrastructure and a custom lead door system.
Cobalt-60 removal and room conversion
Following removal of the existing equipment, the room was adapted to the Elekta Versa HD system’s technical and structural requirements. The infrastructure was prepared for installation of the new accelerator.
LINAC door design, fabrication and installation
The door system was designed and fabricated with photon, electron and neutron protection requirements in mind. Installation and commissioning were completed, and the door was handed over in working order.
